[269] "And how, bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu, relying upon virtue (sīla), established in virtue, develop the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga) and make much of the Noble Eightfold Path? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi), which plunges into the deathless (amata), has the deathless as its destination, has the deathless as its final end … he develops right concentration (samādhi), which plunges into the deathless, has the deathless as its destination, has the deathless as its final end. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu, relying upon virtue, established in virtue, develops the Noble Eightfold Path and makes much of the Noble Eightfold Path."
