[297] "And how, bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu develop the Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga), how does he cultivate the Noble Eightfold Path? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi), based upon seclusion (viveka), based upon dispassion (virāga), based upon cessation, maturing in relinquishment (vossaggapariṇāmī) … he develops right concentration (sammāsamādhi), based upon seclusion, based upon dispassion, based upon cessation, maturing in relinquishment. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu develops the Noble Eightfold Path, that he cultivates the Noble Eightfold Path."
