[378] When the formal act is legitimate (dhammakamma), perceiving it as a legitimate act, she ordains (vuṭṭhāpeti): an offence entailing expiation (pācittiya). When the formal act is legitimate, being in doubt, she ordains: an offence entailing expiation. When the formal act is legitimate, perceiving it as an illegitimate act, she ordains: an offence entailing expiation.
When the formal act is illegitimate (adhammakamma), perceiving it as a legitimate act: an offence of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa). When the formal act is illegitimate, being in doubt: an offence of wrongdoing. When the formal act is illegitimate, perceiving it as an illegitimate act: an offence of wrongdoing.
