**Fully twelve years old (paripuṇṇadvādasavassā)** means: one who has reached twelve years.
**One who has lived with a man (gihigatā)**: one who has gone with a man (purisantaragatā) is what is meant.
**Two years (dve vassāni)**: two twelvemonths.
**One who has trained in the training (sikkhitasikkhā)** means: one who has trained in the training in the six dhammas.
**Not authorized (asammatā)** means: the authorization for ordination (vuṭṭhānasammuti) has not been given by a formal act consisting of a motion and one proclamation (ñattidutiya-kamma).
**Should ordain (vuṭṭhāpeyya)**: should give full admission (upasampādeyya).
Thinking, "I will ordain her," she searches for a group, or a teacher (ācarinī), or a bowl, or a robe, or determines a boundary (sīmā): an offense of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa). For the motion, an offense of wrongdoing; for the two proclamations (kammavācā), offenses of wrongdoing; at the conclusion of the proclamations, for the preceptor (upajjhāyā) an offense of expiation (pācittiya), and for the group and for the teacher an offense of wrongdoing.
