[311] Which phenomena (dhammā) are unwholesome (akusala)? On the occasion when an unwholesome mind (citta) has arisen — accompanied by joy (somanassa-sahagata), associated with wrong view (diṭṭhigata-sampayutta), with prompting (sasaṅkhārena) — having as its object (ārammaṇa) a form … or a dhamma, or concerning whatever [object] it may be, on that occasion there is contact (phassa) … there is non-distraction (avikkhepa) … These phenomena are unwholesome. … -------------- [The Third Citta]
