That which is the lifespan (āyu) of those material phenomena (rūpī dhammā), their persistence (ṭhiti), sustaining (yapanā), keeping going (yāpanā), moving on (iriyanā), continuance (vattanā), preservation (pālanā) — life (jīvita), the life faculty: this is that form that is the life faculty.
