[95] Four aggregates (khandha) are not defilements (kilesa); the aggregate of volitional formations (saṅkhārakkhandha) sometimes is a defilement, sometimes is not a defilement. The aggregate of form (rūpakkhandha) is subject to defilement (saṅkilesika); four aggregates sometimes are subject to defilement, sometimes are not subject to defilement (asaṅkilesika). The aggregate of form is undefiled (asaṅkiliṭṭha); four aggregates sometimes are defiled (saṅkiliṭṭha), sometimes are undefiled. The aggregate of form is dissociated from defilements (kilesavippayutta); four aggregates sometimes are associated with defilements (kilesasampayutta), sometimes are dissociated from defilements. The aggregate of form cannot be described as "both a defilement and subject to defilement"; it is subject to defilement but not a defilement. Three aggregates cannot be described as "both defilements and subject to defilement"; sometimes they are subject to defilement but not defilements, sometimes they cannot be described as "subject to defilement but not defilements." The aggregate of volitional formations sometimes is both a defilement and subject to defilement, sometimes is subject to defilement but not a defilement, sometimes cannot be described either as "both a defilement and subject to defilement" or as "subject to defilement but not a defilement." The aggregate of form cannot be described either as "both a defilement and defiled" or as "defiled but not a defilement." Three aggregates cannot be described as "both defilements and defiled"; sometimes they are defiled but not defilements, sometimes they cannot be described as "defiled but not defilements." The aggregate of volitional formations sometimes is both a defilement and defiled, sometimes is defiled but not a defilement, sometimes cannot be described either as "both a defilement and defiled" or as "defiled but not a defilement." The aggregate of form cannot be described either as "both a defilement and associated with defilements" or as "associated with defilements but not a defilement." Three aggregates cannot be described as "both defilements and associated with defilements"; sometimes they are associated with defilements but not defilements, sometimes they cannot be described as "associated with defilements but not defilements." The aggregate of volitional formations sometimes is both a defilement and associated with defilements, sometimes is associated with defilements but not a defilement, sometimes cannot be described either as "both a defilement and associated with defilements" or as "associated with defilements but not a defilement." The aggregate of form is dissociated from defilements but subject to defilement (kilesavippayutta-saṅkilesika); four aggregates sometimes are dissociated from defilements but subject to defilement, sometimes are dissociated from defilements and not subject to defilement (kilesavippayutta-asaṅkilesika), sometimes cannot be described either as "dissociated from defilements but subject to defilement" or as "dissociated from defilements and not subject to defilement."
