[1044] "For whomever the bodily formation (kāya-saṅkhāra) does not arise, does the mental formation (citta-saṅkhāra) not arise for that one?"
"At the moment of arising (uppāda-khaṇa) of a mind (citta) occurring without in-breaths and out-breaths (assāsa-passāsā), for those [persons] the bodily formation does not arise, but it is not the case that the mental formation does not arise for them. For all at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅga-khaṇa) of the mind, for those who have attained cessation (nirodha-samāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), for them both the bodily formation does not arise and the mental formation does not arise."
"Or rather, for whomever the mental formation does not arise, does the bodily formation not arise for that one?"
"Yes."
