[1163] For whomever the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) does not cease, will the mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra) of that one not cease?
For all [beings] at the moment of the arising of mind (citta); at the moment of the dissolution of mind apart from in-breaths and out-breaths (assāsa-passāsā); for those attained to cessation (nirodhasamāpannā); and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — the bodily formation of these does not cease, yet it is not the case that the mental formation of these will not cease. At the moment of the dissolution of the final mind (pacchimacitta), the bodily formation of these does not cease and the mental formation will not cease.
Or, for whomever the mental formation … ?
