[1169] For whomever the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) has ceased, will the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) cease for that one?
At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchimacitta) accompanied by thought-conception (vitakka) and discursive thought (vicāra); in the case of those endowed with the final mind devoid of thought-conception and discursive thought; and of those immediately after whose mind (citta) the final mind devoid of thought-conception and discursive thought will arise — of these the bodily formation has ceased, but it is not the case that the verbal formation of these will cease. Of the others, the bodily formation has ceased and the verbal formation will cease.
Or rather, for whomever the verbal formation … ? Yes.
