[1218] For whom the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) arose, will that one's verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) cease?
At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchimacitta) accompanied by thought-conception (vitakka) and discursive thought (vicāra), for those endowed with the final mind without thought-conception and discursive thought, and for those in whom, immediately after whichever mind, the final mind without thought-conception and discursive thought will arise — for these the bodily formation arose, but their verbal formation will not cease. For the others, the bodily formation arose and the verbal formation will cease.
Or rather, for whom the verbal formation will cease, did that one's bodily formation arise?
Yes.
