Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1189

[1189] For one for whom the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) will arise, will the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) cease? — Yes. Or rather, for one for whom the verbal formation will cease, will the bodily formation arise? — For beings of the sense sphere (kāmāvacara) at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchima-citta); for those immediately after whose [present] mind (citta) the final sense-sphere mind will arise; for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the fine-material sphere (rūpāvacara) or the immaterial sphere (arūpāvacara); and for those who, having been reborn into the fine-material or the immaterial sphere, will attain final Nibbāna, as they are passing away — for these the verbal formation will cease, but the bodily formation will not arise for them. For the others, the verbal formation will cease and the bodily formation will also arise.
