[397] For whomever the form base (rūpāyatana) will not arise, will the mind base (manāyatana) … the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not arise for him?
Those who, having been reborn in the formless (arūpa) [realm], will attain final Nibbāna — for them the form base will not arise, but it is not the case that the dhamma base will not arise for them. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika), both the form base will not arise and the dhamma base will not arise.
Or else, for whomever the dhamma base will not arise, will the form base not arise for him?
Yes (āmantā).
