[464] For whomever, wherever, the form base (rūpāyatana) arises, will the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra), the form base arises for them there, but the dhamma base will not arise for them there. For the others, possessing form (sarūpaka), who are being reborn, the form base arises for them there and the dhamma base will arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base will arise, does the form base arise for that one there?
For all who are passing away, and for those without form (arūpaka) who are being reborn, the dhamma base will arise for them there, but the form base does not arise for them there. For those possessing form who are being reborn, the dhamma base will arise for them there and the form base arises.
