[498] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) has arisen, will the form base (rūpāyatana) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra), the eye base has arisen for them there, but the form base will not arise for them there. For the others belonging to the five-constituent [plane], the eye base has arisen and the form base will arise for them there.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the form base will arise, has the eye base arisen for that one there?
For the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the form base will arise for them there, but the eye base has not arisen for them there. For those belonging to the five-constituent [plane], the form base will arise and the eye base has arisen for them there.
