[499] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arose, will the mind base (manāyatana) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), the eye base arose for them there, but the mind base will not arise for them there. For the others in five-constituent existence, both the eye base arose and the mind base will arise for them there.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the mind base will arise, did the eye base arise for that one there?
For the formless beings (arūpa), the mind base will arise for them there, but the eye base did not arise for them there. For those in five-constituent existence, both the mind base will arise and the eye base arose for them there.
