[542] For whomever the form base (rūpāyatana) does not cease, does the mind base (manāyatana) not cease for him?
For formless (arūpaka) beings who are passing away, the form base does not cease for them, but it is not the case that the mind base does not cease for them. For all who are being reborn, the form base does not cease for them and the mind base does not cease for them.
Or, for whomever the mind base does not cease, does the form base not cease for him?
For mindless (acittaka) beings who are passing away, the mind base does not cease for them, but it is not the case that the form base does not cease for them. For all who are being reborn, the mind base does not cease for them and the form base does not cease for them.
