Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 702

[702] "For whomever the form base (rūpāyatana) does not arise, does the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one?" For all who are passing away, the form base does not arise, but it is not the case that the dhamma base does not cease for them. For those without form (arūpaka) who are being reborn, the form base does not arise and the dhamma base does not cease. "Or, for whomever the dhamma base does not cease, does the form base not arise for that one?" For those with form (sarūpaka) who are being reborn, the dhamma base does not cease, but it is not the case that the form base does not arise for them. For those without form who are being reborn, the dhamma base does not cease and the form base does not arise.
