[626] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) ceases, will the mind base (manāyatana) cease for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-aggregate plane (pañcavokāra), the eye base ceases for them there, but the mind base will not cease for them there. For the others, possessed of the eye, who are passing away, for them there the eye base ceases and the mind base will cease.
