[657] For whomever the nose sense base (ghānāyatanaṃ) has ceased, will the form sense base (rūpāyatanaṃ) cease for that one?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-aggregate existence (pañcavokāra), for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the formless (arūpa), and for those who, having been reborn in the formless, will attain final Nibbāna, as these are passing away — for them the nose sense base has ceased, but the form sense base will not cease. For the others, both the nose sense base has ceased and the form sense base will cease.
Or for whomever the form sense base … ?
