Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 662

[662] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) has ceased, will the ear base (sotāyatana) cease for that one there? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent plane (pañcavokāra), the eye base has ceased for them there, but the ear base will not cease for them there. For the others in the five-constituent planes, the eye base has ceased for them there and the ear base will cease. Or else, for whomever, wherever, the ear base will cease, has the eye base ceased for that one there? For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the ear base will cease for them there, but the eye base has not ceased for them there. For the others in the five-constituent planes, the ear base will cease for them there and the eye base has ceased.
