[700] For whomever the nose base (ghānāyatana) does not arise, does the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one?
For all who are passing away, the nose base does not arise, but it is not the case that the dhamma base does not cease for them. For those without a nose who are being reborn, the nose base does not arise and the dhamma base does not cease.
Or rather, for whomever the dhamma base does not cease, does the nose base not arise for that one?
