Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 540

[540] For whomever the nose base (ghānāyatana) does not cease, does the mind base (manāyatana) of that one not cease? For those without nose (aghānaka) but with mind (sacittaka) who are passing away (cavanta), their nose base does not cease, yet it is not the case that their mind base does not cease. For all who are being reborn (upapajjanta), and for those without mind (acittaka) who are passing away, their nose base does not cease and their mind base also does not cease. Or rather, for whomever the mind base does not cease, does the nose base of that one not cease? Yes (āmantā).
