[756] For whomever and wherever the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, will the ear base (sotāyatana) cease for that one there?

Or rather, for whomever and wherever the ear base will cease, does the eye base arise for that one there?
For those passing away from a five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra) who are being reborn, without eye, into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara): for them the ear base will cease there, but the eye base does not arise for them there. For those being reborn with eye: for them, there, both the ear base will cease and the eye base arises.
