Uppādanirodhavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 776

[776] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not arise, will the ear base (sotāyatana) not cease for that one there? For those passing away from the five-aggregate [plane] (pañcavokāra) and being reborn, eyeless, into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara): for them the eye base does not arise there, but it is not the case that the ear base will not cease for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-aggregate [plane], for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), and for formless beings (arūpā): for them the eye base does not arise there, and the ear base will not cease. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the ear base will not cease, does the eye base not arise for that one there? Yes.
