[1070] For whomever, wherever, the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) arises, did the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for that one there?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa), the wisdom faculty arises for them there, but the mind faculty did not arise for them there. For the others who are being reborn [with rebirth-mind] associated with knowledge (ñāṇa), and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of a mind (citta) associated with knowledge — for them there both the wisdom faculty arises and the mind faculty arose.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty arose, does the wisdom faculty arise for that one there?
For all [beings] at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind, and at the moment of arising of a mind dissociated from knowledge — the mind faculty arose for them there, but the wisdom faculty does not arise for them there. For those who are being reborn [with rebirth-mind] associated with knowledge, and, in the course of existence, at the moment of arising of a mind associated with knowledge — for them there both the mind faculty arose and the wisdom faculty arises.
