[1033] "For whomever the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arises, did the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) arise for that one?"
"Yes."
"Or rather, for whomever the wisdom faculty arose, does the faith faculty arise for that one?"
"For all at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta), at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from faith, for those attained to cessation (nirodha), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for them the wisdom faculty arose, but the faith faculty does not arise for them. For those with root-causes (sahetuka) who are being reborn, and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of the arising of a mind associated with faith — for them the wisdom faculty arose and the faith faculty arises."
