[1110] For whomever the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arises, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for him?
At the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchimacitta), the faith faculty arises for those [beings], but the mind faculty will not arise for them. For the others—for those with roots (sahetuka) who are taking rebirth, and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising of a mind (citta) associated with faith—both the faith faculty arises for them and the mind faculty will arise.
Or rather, for whomever the mind faculty will arise, does the faith faculty arise for him?
For all [beings] at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the mind, at the moment of arising of a mind dissociated from faith, for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the mind faculty will arise for them, but the faith faculty does not arise for them. For those with roots who are taking rebirth, and, in the course of existence, at the moment of arising of a mind associated with faith, both the mind faculty will arise for them and the faith faculty arises.
