[1109] For whomever the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) arises, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for that one?
At the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the final mind (pacchima-citta) associated with equanimity (upekkhāsampayutta): for those ones the equanimity faculty arises, but the mind faculty will not arise for them. For the others — for those being reborn with equanimity (upekkhā) and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising of a mind (citta) associated with equanimity — for them the equanimity faculty arises, and the mind faculty will arise.
Or, for whomever the mind faculty will arise, does the equanimity faculty arise for that one?
For all at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind, at the moment of arising of a mind dissociated from equanimity (upekkhāvippayutta), for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them the mind faculty will arise, but the equanimity faculty does not arise for them. For those being reborn with equanimity and, in the course of existence, at the moment of arising of a mind associated with equanimity: for them the mind faculty will arise, and the equanimity faculty arises.
