Or else, for whomever the mind faculty has arisen, does the faith faculty arise for that one?
For all beings at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta), at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from faith, for those who have attained cessation (nirodha), and for non-percipient beings — for these the mind faculty has arisen, but the faith faculty does not arise for them. For those with roots (sahetuka) who are taking rebirth, and, in the course of existence (pavatta), at the moment of the arising of a mind associated with faith — for these both the mind faculty has arisen and the faith faculty arises.
