[1152] For whom the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, will the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) not arise for him?
For all who are passing away, and for those without eye who are being reborn — for these, the eye faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the masculinity faculty will not arise for them. For those attaining final Nibbāna in five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the formless (arūpa), for those who, having been reborn into the form-sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless-sphere (arūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna, and for those women who, having manifested some number of existences in that very same [female] state, will attain final Nibbāna — for these, as they are passing away, the eye faculty does not arise and the masculinity faculty will not arise.
Or rather, for whom the masculinity faculty will not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for him?
For those in their final existence who are being reborn into five-constituent existence, for those who, having been reborn into the form-sphere or the formless-sphere, will attain final Nibbāna, and for those women who, having manifested some number of existences in that very same [female] state, will attain final Nibbāna — for these, as they are being reborn, the masculinity faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the eye faculty does not arise for them. For those attaining final Nibbāna in five-constituent existence, for those in their final existence in the formless, for those who, having been reborn into the form-sphere or the formless-sphere, will attain final Nibbāna, and for those women who, having manifested some number of existences in that very same [female] state, will attain final Nibbāna — for these, as they are passing away, the masculinity faculty will not arise and the eye faculty does not arise.
