[162] For whomever wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) arise, will unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) arise for him?
At the moment of arising of the supreme path (aggamagga), and at the moment of arising of that mind (citta) immediately after which they will obtain the supreme path: for them wholesome phenomena arise, but unwholesome phenomena will not arise for them. At the moment of arising of the wholesome [phenomena] of the others: for them both wholesome phenomena arise and unwholesome phenomena will arise.
Or rather, for whomever unwholesome phenomena will arise, do wholesome phenomena arise for him?
For all at the moment of the dissolution of mind, at the moment of arising of a mind dissociated from the wholesome, for those who have attained cessation, and for non-percipient beings: for them unwholesome phenomena will arise, but wholesome phenomena do not arise for them. At the moment of arising of the wholesome: for them both unwholesome phenomena will arise and wholesome phenomena arise.
