[306] "For whomever, wherever, wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) have arisen, have unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) ceased for that one there?"
"Yes."
"Or rather, for whomever, wherever, unwholesome phenomena have ceased, have wholesome phenomena arisen for that one there?"
"For those of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa), while the second unwholesome mind (citta) is occurring, unwholesome phenomena have ceased for them there, but wholesome phenomena have not arisen for them there. For the others — those with four aggregates (catuvokāra) and those with five aggregates (pañcavokāra) — both unwholesome phenomena have ceased for them there and wholesome phenomena have arisen."
