[354] For whomever, wherever, wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) arise, will unwholesome phenomena cease for that one there?
At the moment of the arising of the highest path (aggamagga), and at the moment of the arising of that mind (citta) immediately after which they will attain the highest path: for those [beings] there, wholesome phenomena arise, but unwholesome phenomena will not cease for them there. For the others, at the moment of the arising of wholesome [phenomena]: for them there, both wholesome phenomena arise and unwholesome phenomena will cease.
Or, for whomever, wherever, unwholesome phenomena will cease, do wholesome phenomena arise for that one there?
For all [beings] at the moment of the dissolution of mind, and at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from the wholesome: for those [beings] there, unwholesome phenomena will cease, but wholesome phenomena do not arise for them there. At the moment of the arising of wholesome [phenomena]: for them there, both unwholesome phenomena will cease and wholesome phenomena arise.
