Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 497

[497] For whomever the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, does the mind-faculty (manindriya) arise for that one? Yes. Or rather, for whomever the mind-faculty arises, does the eye-faculty arise for that one? For those with mind (sacittaka) but without eye (acakkhuka) who are taking rebirth (upapajjantānaṃ), the mind-faculty arises for them, but the eye-faculty does not arise for them; for those with eye (sacakkhuka) who are taking rebirth, for them both the mind-faculty arises and the eye-faculty arises.
