[499] "For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) arises, does the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arise for that one?"
When those possessing a nose who are not males are being reborn, the nose faculty arises for them, but the masculinity faculty does not arise for them. When those possessing a nose who are males are being reborn, for them both the nose faculty arises and the masculinity faculty arises.
"Or rather, for whomever the masculinity faculty arises, does the nose faculty arise for that one?"
When males without a nose are being reborn, the masculinity faculty arises for them, but the nose faculty does not arise for them. When males possessing a nose are being reborn, for them both the masculinity faculty arises and the nose faculty arises.
