[601] For whomever, wherever, the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arises, does the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) arise for that one there?
For those with roots (sahetuka), dissociated from knowledge (ñāṇa), as they are being reborn, and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising of a mind (citta) associated with faith (saddhā) but dissociated from knowledge — for them, there, the faith faculty arises, but the wisdom faculty does not arise for them there. For those with roots, associated with knowledge, as they are being reborn, and, in the course of existence, at the moment of arising of a mind associated with faith and associated with knowledge — for them, there, both the faith faculty arises and the wisdom faculty arises.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the wisdom faculty arises, does the faith faculty arise for that one there?
Yes (āmantā).
