[717] For whomever, wherever, the faith faculty (saddhindriya) does not arise, does the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) not arise for that one there?

Or else, for whomever, wherever, the wisdom faculty does not arise, does the faith faculty not arise for that one there?
When those dissociated from knowledge (ñāṇa) yet with roots (sahetuka) are being reborn, and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of the arising of a mind (citta) dissociated from knowledge but associated with faith — for them, there, the wisdom faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that for them, there, the faith faculty does not arise. For all [beings] at the moment of the dissolution of mind, at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from knowledge and dissociated from faith, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for them, there, both the wisdom faculty does not arise and the faith faculty does not arise.
