[716] For whomever, wherever, the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) does not arise, does the mind faculty (manindriya) not arise for that one there?
For those possessed of mind (sacittaka) who are being reborn without equanimity, and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of a mind dissociated (vippayutta) from equanimity — for them, there, the equanimity faculty does not arise, yet it is not the case that the mind faculty does not arise for them there. For all at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind, and for the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for them, there, the equanimity faculty does not arise and the mind faculty does not arise.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty does not arise, does the equanimity faculty not arise for that one there?
