[707] "For whomever, wherever, the life faculty (jīvitindriya) does not arise, does the faith faculty (saddhindriya) not arise for that one there?"
"Yes."
"Or else, for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty does not arise, does the life faculty not arise for that one there?"
"For rootless (ahetuka) beings who are being reborn, and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising of a mind (citta) dissociated from faith, the faith faculty does not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the life faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and, in the course of existence, at the moment of dissolution of a mind, for them there the faith faculty does not arise, and the life faculty does not arise."
