[616] For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) does not arise, does the life faculty (jīvitindriya) not arise for him?
For those without a nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn, the nose faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the life faculty does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, both the nose faculty does not arise for them and the life faculty does not arise.
Or rather, for whomever the life faculty does not arise, does the nose faculty not arise for him?
