[619] For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) does not arise, does the faith faculty (saddhindriya) not arise for that one?
For those without a nose (aghānaka), with root-cause (sahetuka), who are being reborn: for them the nose faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that for them the faith faculty does not arise. For all who are passing away, and for those without a nose, without root-cause (ahetuka), who are being reborn: for them the nose faculty does not arise and the faith faculty does not arise.
Or, for whomever the faith faculty does not arise, does the nose faculty not arise for that one?
For those without root-cause, possessing a nose (saghānaka), who are being reborn: for them the faith faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that for them the nose faculty does not arise. For all who are passing away, and for those without root-cause, without a nose, who are being reborn: for them the faith faculty does not arise and the nose faculty does not arise.
