[632] For whomever the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) does not arise, does the faith faculty (saddhindriya) not arise for that one?
For non-males with roots (sahetuka) who are being reborn, the masculinity faculty does not arise for them, but it is not the case that the faith faculty does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for non-males who are rootless (ahetuka) and are being reborn, for them the masculinity faculty does not arise, and the faith faculty does not arise.
Or, for whomever the faith faculty does not arise, does the masculinity faculty not arise for that one?
For rootless males who are being reborn, the faith faculty does not arise for them, but it is not the case that the masculinity faculty does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for rootless non-males who are being reborn, for them the faith faculty does not arise, and the masculinity faculty does not arise.
