[694] For whomever, wherever, the femininity faculty (itthindriya) does not arise, does the joy faculty (somanassindriya) not arise for that one there?
For non-women being reborn with joy (somanassa), the femininity faculty does not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the joy faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for non-women being reborn without joy, for them there both the femininity faculty does not arise and the joy faculty does not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty does not arise, does the femininity faculty not arise for that one there?
For women being reborn without joy, the joy faculty does not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the femininity faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for non-women being reborn without joy, for them there both the joy faculty does not arise and the femininity faculty does not arise.
