For those of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) while the second mind-moment (citta) is occurring, the joy faculty has never arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the mind faculty has never arisen for them there. For those taking rebirth in the Pure Abodes and for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), both the joy faculty has never arisen for them there and the mind faculty has never arisen for them there.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty has never arisen, has the joy faculty never arisen for that one there?
