Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 900

[900] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) will arise — will the joy faculty (somanassindriya) arise for that one there? For those possessing the eye (sacakkhukā) who, having been reborn with equanimity (upekkhā), will attain final Nibbāna: for them the eye faculty will arise there, but the joy faculty will not arise for them there. For the others, those in five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra): for them, there, the eye faculty will arise and the joy faculty will arise. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty will arise — will the eye faculty arise for that one there? Yes.
