Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 931

[931] For whomever the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) will not arise, will the joy faculty (somanassindriya) not arise for that one? Yes. Or rather, for whomever the joy faculty will not arise, will the eye faculty not arise for that one? For those who, possessed of eyes, having been reborn with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāna), the joy faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the eye faculty will not arise for them. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika), and for those who, having been reborn in the formless realm (arūpa), will attain final Nibbāna, both the joy faculty will not arise and the eye faculty will not arise.
