Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 932

[932] For whomever the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) will not arise, will the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) not arise for him? Those who, having been reborn in the formless realm (arūpa), will attain final Nibbāna: for them the eye faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty will not arise for them. As to those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika): for them both the eye faculty will not arise and the equanimity faculty will not arise. Or, for whomever the equanimity faculty will not arise, will the eye faculty not arise for him? Those with eyes (sacakkhuka) who, having been reborn with joy (somanassa), will attain final Nibbāna: for them the equanimity faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the eye faculty will not arise for them. As to those in their final existence: for them both the equanimity faculty will not arise and the eye faculty will not arise.
