[1449] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is clung-to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya), there arises a phenomenon that is clung-to and subject to clinging, not by dissociation condition (na-vippayutta-paccaya): in the immaterial plane (ārūpa), dependent on one aggregate that is clung-to and subject to clinging, three aggregates [arise]; for the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), [it arises] dependent on one primary element (mahābhūta).
Dependent on a phenomenon that is not clung-to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya), there arises a phenomenon that is not clung-to but subject to clinging, not by dissociation condition: in the immaterial plane, dependent on one aggregate that is not clung-to but subject to clinging, three aggregates [arise]; dependent on one external (bāhira) … nutriment-originated (āhārasamuṭṭhāna) … temperature-originated (utusamuṭṭhāna) primary element.
