[1702] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is undefiled and not subject to defilement is a condition for a phenomenon that is undefiled and not subject to defilement by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: the first path (magga) is a condition for the second path, the second path for the third path, the third path for the fourth path, the fourth path for the attainment of fruition (phalasamāpatti), by decisive-support condition.
